Construction Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Operations Manager to lead and oversee complex infrastructure and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, project scheduling, cost control, and team leadership, with a passion for driving efficiency and excellence across all phases of construction operations. As a key leader, you will coordinate multiple teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure seamless project execution aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Duties

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software, coordinating timelines across multiple teams.
• Oversee construction estimating processes to accurately forecast costs and resource needs for each project phase.
• Manage project budgets diligently, tracking expenses and implementing cost management strategies to maximize profitability.
• Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise implementation on-site.
• Supervise construction site activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant construction regulations and safety protocols.
• Coordinate procurement of materials using Construction management software like ProCore or Prolog while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Lead project teams by managing subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Monitor project progress through regular site inspections, progress reports, and schedule updates; adjust plans proactively as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation of contracts, change orders, safety incidents, and project records for audit readiness.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness by conducting regular training sessions and enforcing safety policies on-site.

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Prolog, HeavyBid, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of civil 3D design tools for infrastructure projects and construction schedule coordination.
• Proven ability in managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Expertise in construction estimating, cost management, project scheduling, and budget control.
• Deep understanding of construction regulations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams within a fast-paced construction environment; excellent communication skills essential.
• Skilled in contract administration including reviewing contracts and change orders; adept at project coordination across multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.

Pay: $82,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
