Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and smooth finishes
• Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation
• Apply paint using airless spray equipment, brushes, rollers, and other techniques suited for residential and commercial projects
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine paint areas, color schemes, and project specifications
• Perform restoration work including stucco repair, masonry touch-ups, and industrial painting as needed
• Execute renovation tasks such as drywall finishing, framing, and masonry repairs to support overall project goals
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as scrapers, sanders, caulking guns, and carpentry tools including trim carpentry and frame carpentry
• Familiarity with power tools including airless paint sprayers, welding equipment (if applicable), and concrete finishing tools
• Experience with surface preparation techniques like plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and restoration projects
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise application of paint and finishes
• Knowledge of color theory to help clients select appropriate hues for various spaces
• Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures and maintenance practices
• Handyman experience is a plus; willingness to perform miscellaneous maintenance or repair tasks as needed
