Construction Planning Engineer

ERA Projects is looking for a qualified and experienced Construction Planning Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring, preferably with experience in high-rise buildings and large villa projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project schedules, monitoring site progress, identifying potential delays, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update construction project schedules, baseline programs, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
• Prepare detailed project timelines using planning and scheduling software.
• Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and identify delays, risks, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and project performance updates.
• Track manpower, equipment, material requirements, and procurement activities against project schedules.
• Analyze project delays and recommend recovery plans to meet project deadlines.
• Assist in preparing progress presentations, resource plans, and schedule forecasts.
• Support the preparation of extension-of-time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
• Ensure project schedules comply with contractual requirements and approved construction programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, residential developments, and large villa projects is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, critical path method (CPM), progress tracking, and delay analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple project teams and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be currently available in Bahrain.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
