Construction Plant Fitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all tools that are returned to the hire depot on a daily basis

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant is inspected and fit for purpose prior to customer hire
• Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and components.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fitting process.
• Collaborate with engineers and other fitters to optimise production processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Document work completed, including any modifications or repairs made during the fitting process.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments used in fitting tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A relevant qualification or apprenticeship in engineering or mechanical fitting is advantageous but not essential.
