What they need

Company and Culture

PuroClean is a leader in emergency property restoration services, helping families and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, and other property damage.

We operate with a servant-based leadership mindset and a “One Team” mentality. Our goal is to create an environment where team members can grow professionally while serving our customers, communities, and one another.

We are expanding our construction division and are looking for an experienced Construction Production Manager who takes ownership of project execution, communicates well with customers, and consistently delivers quality work.

Position Overview

The Construction Production Manager is responsible for managing construction projects after they have been estimated, sold, budgeted, bought out, contracted, and formally handed off by the Director of Construction Development.

This role serves as the customer’s primary point of contact during production and owns the daily execution of assigned projects, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, material coordination, quality control, budget monitoring, customer satisfaction, and project closeout.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, financially aware, and capable of managing multiple residential and commercial construction projects at the same time.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus participation in the Company’s construction project-profitability incentive program.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review project scope, budget, work orders, and handoff documentation before production begins
  • Serve as the customer’s primary contact throughout the construction process
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate accurate project schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, materials, permits, and inspections
  • Confirm subcontractors understand the approved scope and work-order requirements
  • Monitor project progress, quality, safety, job costs, and projected gross profit
  • Maintain accurate project notes, schedules, dates, photographs, and supporting documentation
  • Provide customers with regular and professional project updates
  • Identify delays, deficiencies, cost concerns, and customer issues early
  • Communicate conditions affecting scope, cost, schedule, or profitability to the Director of Construction Development
  • Identify and document additional work or changed conditions
  • Gather photographs, measurements, trade information, and supporting documentation for supplements and change orders
  • Present approved customer-funded change orders and obtain authorization before additional work proceeds
  • Coordinate progress billing, deposits, and payment status with the administrative and accounting teams
  • Manage punch-list completion and final project closeout
  • Obtain a signed Certificate of Satisfaction and request a customer review
  • Coordinate midpoint inspections and final walkthroughs with the Director on larger projects

Budget and Change Management

The Construction Production Manager is responsible for executing the project against its approved scope, budget, schedule, and gross-profit target.

Any condition that may affect scope, cost, schedule, or profitability must be promptly identified and communicated to the Director.

For project changes, the Production Manager is responsible for:

  • Identifying and documenting changed conditions or additional work
  • Providing photographs, measurements, notes, and trade information
  • Preventing undocumented or unauthorized additional work
  • Presenting customer-funded change orders after Director approval
  • Coordinating approved additional work after authorization

The Director of Construction Development is responsible for estimating and budgeting significant changes and preparing insurance supplements.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of construction project management, restoration, remodeling, or related experience preferred
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing
  • Ability to read and understand estimates, scopes, budgets, work orders, and construction documents
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Clear, professional, and empathetic customer communication
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Understanding of job costing and gross-profit management
  • Comfortable using job-management software, mobile applications, email, and cloud-based systems
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to regularly travel to customer properties and active job sites
  • Ability to safely navigate typical residential and commercial construction environments

Experience with restoration construction, insurance claims, Xactimate, or similar estimating platforms is preferred but not required.

Performance Expectations

Success in this position includes:

  • Projects remain organized, documented, and on schedule
  • Customers receive consistent and professional communication
  • Subcontractors and vendors are coordinated effectively
  • Work is completed according to approved scope and quality standards
  • Budget concerns and changed conditions are identified promptly
  • Undocumented or unauthorized additional work is avoided
  • Projects meet approved gross-profit targets
  • Billing and closeout requirements are completed promptly
  • Customers are satisfied with the completed project

Compensation and Incentive Opportunity

This position includes a competitive base salary plus participation in the Company’s construction project-profitability incentive program.

The project incentive is based on final job gross profit and is paid as a percentage of project revenue, with higher-performing projects generating greater incentive compensation.

When a project is developed by the Director of Construction Development and produced by the Construction Production Manager, the applicable project incentive is divided equally, with 50% allocated to the Director and 50% allocated to the Production Manager.

Incentives are calculated after the project is completed, closed, and paid in full, subject to the requirements of the Company incentive program.

The position will also receive:
