- Help coordinate project schedules, material availability, equipment readiness, and testing activities.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including photographs, measurements, test records, and progress updates.
- Assist with preparing technical reports, test summaries, and supporting documentation.
- Track project milestones, schedules, and outstanding tasks to help ensure timely completion.
- Review project specifications and testing requirements to help identify materials, equipment, and resources needed.
- Communicate project updates and potential issues to engineers, project managers, and other personnel.
- Participate in identifying opportunities to improve testing procedures, project workflows, and laboratory efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in construction, carpentry, framing, fabrication, mechanical maintenance, building materials testing, or a related hands-on technical environment.
- Ability to safely and confidently operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, or technical specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers for documentation, data entry, reporting, and project tracking.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and project management personnel.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn new technical processes.
- Interest in developing project coordination and project management skills.
- High school diploma or GED required. Additional education or training in construction management, engineering technology, industrial technology, or a related field is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a construction testing, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, or project management software.
- Experience preparing work reports, inspection documentation, or technical records.
- Exposure to construction quality control, building codes, or testing standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Comfortable working around construction materials, machinery, and laboratory testing equipment.
