Construction Project Coordinator

Location: On-site in Orlando, FL

Our client is a growing commercial construction organization with a strong pipeline of work across Central Florida. They are looking for a construction-savvy Project Coordinator who wants to be closer to the action, gain broader exposure across the project lifecycle, and make a visible impact on a lean, collaborative team. This is not a purely clerical role. You will work alongside project and construction leaders to keep critical information moving, solve coordination gaps, and support commercial projects from early planning through closeout. For someone interested in expanding their responsibilities, the position also offers a path toward Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager work.

Focus:

• Help keep multiple commercial projects moving by owning the flow of critical information from preconstruction through closeout.
• Partner with project managers and field leaders to keep contracts, drawings, schedules, and action items organized and current.
• Coordinate RFIs and submittals so questions, responses, approvals, and revisions reach the right people without unnecessary delays.
• Maintain dependable project records in Procore or a comparable construction management platform, including logs, drawings, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with subcontract and contract documentation while following outstanding requirements through completion.
• Contribute during estimating and preconstruction by organizing bid information, reviewing plan sets, and supporting communication with trade partners.
• Support project startup, recurring coordination needs, and closeout packages across several active jobs.
• Communicate proactively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve missing information and keep commitments visible.

Skill Set:

• Commercial construction experience with a general contractor is strongly preferred, along with enough project knowledge to contribute beyond routine administrative work.
• Five or more years of relevant construction coordination, project administration, or project support experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and document control is important for success.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications and understand how project documents connect to field and office activities.
• Experience using Procore is strongly preferred; comparable construction management software experience may also be relevant.
• Strong organization, follow-through, and written and verbal communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Comfort managing competing deadlines and supporting multiple active projects without losing track of critical details.
• A proactive approach and interest in broader project responsibility, with potential to grow toward Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager work.
