Construction - Project Engineer

Industry: Construction (Main Contractor)

Key Responsibilities:

* Site Execution & Coordination: Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with architectural/structural drawings, engineering specifications, and quality standards.

* Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow, material delivery, and adherence to project schedules.

* Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor work progress, track construction milestones, and prepare regular site progress reports for management.

* Technical Support: Review construction drawings, resolve technical or site discrepancies, and implement practical engineering solutions on-site.

* Quality, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure strict compliance with site safety regulations, company HSE policies, and local statutory requirements (CIDB, DOSH, etc.).

* Claim & Valuation Support: Assist the Quantity Surveying/Contract department with site measurements, joint site valuations (JSV), and verification of subcontractor work progress.

Job Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.

* Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in the construction industry, preferably with a Main Contractor background.

* Good technical knowledge of construction methods, site operations, and structural works.

* Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and site coordination skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.

* Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (to liaise with multi-lingual site teams and stakeholders).

* Possess own transport and willingness to be stationed at project sites around Selangor / Klang Valley.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
