Construction Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to lead and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive project success by managing schedules, budgets, and resources effectively. Duties

• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts to facilitate accurate project execution.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to align project activities with established timelines and budgets.
• Monitor construction site activities daily, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Prolog, HeavyBid, or Civil engineering project management tools for tracking progress, costs, and documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to identify potential issues early and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, including cost management analysis using Excel data analysis techniques.
• Assist in construction estimating and cost control measures to optimize resource allocation and minimize delays.
• Manage change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and other project documentation efficiently.
• Support project management in contract administration and negotiations to ensure contractual obligations are met.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and cost management practices.
• Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, and civil engineering project management tools.
• Excellent understanding of construction plans, specifications, contracts, and safety standards.
• Ability to analyze data effectively using Excel for tracking project metrics and performance indicators.
• Demonstrated experience in project coordination within the construction industry with a focus on civil engineering projects preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling best practices and the ability to adapt plans as needed for changing conditions.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
