Construction Project Executive

About the role

CDM Bina Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Project Executive to coordinate and support construction, renovation, interior fit-out, and M&E projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries.
• Monitor project progress, workmanship, safety, and compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Attend site meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and internal team members.
• Review construction drawings and highlight discrepancies or site-related issues.
• Prepare progress reports, work programmes, method statements, site records, and project documentation.
• Assist with material submissions, shop drawings, RFIs, inspection requests, and authority submissions.
• Obtain quotations and assist in evaluating suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, variation orders, claims, and subcontractor payments.
• Coordinate site inspections, testing, commissioning, handover, and defect rectification.

Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Interior Design, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant construction experience is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings.
• Good coordination, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic project reporting.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or other construction software is an advantage.
• Willing to travel between project sites within Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Responsible, organised, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
