We are now inviting applications for our Construction Project Management Graduate Programme 2027. Successful candidates will be placed on projects in Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe. The Dornan Project Management Development programme allows participants to take on responsibility on live projects and develop skills that will be vital to their future success. Under the guidance and mentorship of an experienced project manager, graduates will learn the fundamentals of how Dornan deliver a project, with structured placements in departments such as engineering, planning, quality, safety and commercial.

  • Support the coordination and delivery of live construction projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Attend and contribute to project meetings, including tracking actions, decisions, risks and progress.
  • Maintain key project documentation, trackers, reports, schedules and action logs.
  • Coordinate activities across internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and provide clear updates on programme, risks, issues and required decisions.
  • Take ownership of defined tasks, workstreams, packages and smaller projects as capability develops.
  • Support commercial, cost, contract, procurement and scope management activities.
  • Help manage safety, quality, risk and delivery performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Progress towards independently planning, leading, delivering and closing out projects, including team leadership, reporting and lessons learned.

What we are looking for:

  • Studying towards a Construction Management Degree or related discipline (Level 8).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

What happens next:

  • Your application will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in November and December of 2026.
  • Offers will be issued in January and February of 2027, and following this you will be assigned to your business unit and mentor.
  • You will commence with Dornan from June 2027.
