Construction Project Manager

About the role

Manage and oversee construction / M&E projects from planning to completion. This is an office and site-based position requiring frequent attendance at construction and project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction / M&E projects from planning to completion
• Attend project sites regularly to supervise and monitor construction progress, quality, and safety
• Lead and coordinate site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution
• Assist the Project Director in coordinating project execution, planning and daily operations
• Review project requirements, specifications, technical drawings and contract documents
• Prepare RFQ, evaluate supplier / subcontractor quotations and support tender submissions
• Plan, monitor, and control project schedules, manpower deployment, material deliveries, and site activities
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications and regulatory requirements
• Monitor project cost, variation works and assist in cost control
• Prepare project documentation such as progress reports, method statements, risk assessments and handover documents

About you

• Degree in Engineering - Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years and above of working experience in M&E industry
• Possesses relevant technical knowledge related to M&E works
• Proficient in technical software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools
• Fluent in English
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, multi-tasking, decision-making and negotiation skills
• Highly motivated, driven by excellence and having an eye for details
• Ability to work independently yet coordinates and teamwork seamlessly with others, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
