What they need

GCPRO Restoration is a full-service restoration contractor serving the Milwaukee/Kenosha area. We help property owners rebuild after property damage, combining quality construction with clear communication and dependable service.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead restoration and reconstruction projects from initial scope review through final completion. You will manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, materials, and customer relationships while keeping quality, safety, and profitability on track.

The right candidate understands construction, takes initiative, solves problems, and follows through. You should be comfortable leading work in the field, managing the financial details in the office, and keeping customers informed throughout the rebuilding process.

What We Offer

  • Compensation that rewards performance: Base salary plus annual uncapped performance-based commission.
  • Tools and transportation: Company vehicle, fuel card, business expense account, company phone, laptop/iPad, and company apparel.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan with a guaranteed company match; paid time off; and paid holidays.
  • Professional growth: Paid training, career advancement opportunities, and a collaborative team that values accountability, integrity, and quality work.

What You Will Do

  • Lead projects from start to finish. Manage preconstruction planning, scope of work, construction scheduling, field execution, punch lists, and project closeout.
  • Control budgets and project profitability. Develop and maintain project budgets, track job costs, forecast remaining expenses, review subcontractor and vendor invoices, and meet revenue and profit margin goals.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and materials. Select qualified trade partners, complete project buyouts, verify subcontract agreements, manage submittals, and coordinate materials procurement and deliveries.
  • Keep schedules and field operations on track. Coordinate crews and subcontractors, monitor progress, resolve jobsite issues, and adjust resources to meet project milestones. Mentor junior team members and set clear expectations for productivity and accountability.
  • Own customer communication. Build trust with customers and project stakeholders, address concerns promptly, and provide weekly schedule and progress updates to customers and company leadership, including photos and project status reports.
  • Manage scope changes and change orders. Identify additional work, coordinate pricing, obtain signed approvals, and update project budgets and schedules to reflect approved changes.
  • Maintain safety, compliance, and workmanship. Conduct site inspections, enforce quality control, obtain required building permits, coordinate inspections, and ensure work follows contracted scopes, applicable building codes, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Support emergency response. Participate in the management on-call rotation and professionally represent GCPRO during emergency assignments, including occasional evening and weekend work.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of project management experience in construction restoration.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project financials, budgeting, job costing, scheduling, contracts, and construction administration.
  • An established network of reliable subcontractors with whom you currently work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively with customers, crews, vendors, and local officials.
  • Strong computer and technology skills, including comfort with digital project documentation, financial worksheets, and reporting tools.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities independently, resolve problems, and maintain high standards of business ethics and integrity.

A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Candidates must also meet job-related background check and drug-screening requirements, consistent with applicable law.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Xactimate and/or Symbility for construction estimating and scope review, along with experience using construction project management software.
  • Experience managing insurance restoration, reconstruction, multifamily, hotel, or multi-building facility projects.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training, CPR and First Aid certifications, and/or bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.

Schedule and Travel

This position combines office responsibilities with regular visits to active construction sites throughout Milwaukee/Kenosha area. Local project travel is required, with minimal out-of-area travel expected. Participation in an on-call rotation and occasional evening or weekend work is required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work takes place in office and active construction environments, with exposure to typical construction noise and equipment. Responsibilities include walking jobsites, using computers and mobile devices, and occasionally using tools for minor tasks. The position may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 70 pounds.

Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
