Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time - Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from planning through completion. This position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who can provide project oversight, coordinate contractors and vendors, monitor budgets and schedules, and ensure projects remain on track.

The role requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and construction knowledge. The Project Manager will work closely with company leadership, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other project partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects and provide regular project updates.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Review project scopes, plans, bids, and construction documents.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and overall progress.
• Conduct periodic job-site visits to verify progress and quality.
• Identify construction delays, issues, and potential cost overruns.
• Communicate with contractors and provide follow-up on outstanding items.
• Review invoices, estimates, change orders, and project expenses.
• Help obtain and compare contractor and subcontractor bids.
• Assist with material and vendor coordination.
• Track permits, inspections, and project milestones.
• Ensure work is being completed according to the approved scope and plans.
• Document project progress through photos, reports, and updates.
• Assist with punch-list completion and project closeout.
• Report major issues and recommendations directly to company management.
• Attend project meetings as needed.
• Provide general construction guidance and problem-solving support.

Part-Time Schedule

• 25 hours per week
• Flexible schedule based on project needs
• Combination of remote administrative work and job-site visits
• Additional hours may be available depending on project volume

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction project management, construction supervision, or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction.
• Ability to read construction plans and understand scopes of work.
• Experience coordinating contractors and subcontractors.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to identify construction issues and recommend solutions.
• Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, project management software, and mobile communication tools.
• Reliable transportation for occasional job-site visits.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred

• Experience managing renovation, development, or investment-property construction projects.
• Experience with contractor bidding and negotiation.
• Knowledge of permits and inspections.
• Experience with Buildium or similar platforms.
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree/certification is a plus.

Compensation

$2,500 per month plus 3% project profit bonus.

Flexible part-time schedule (25 hours a week) with the opportunity for additional hours as the company's construction project portfolio grows.
