Construction Project Manager

The Opportunity

Bright Bridge Group provides construction project management, property development support and construction advisory to developers across Nottinghamshire and the rest of the UK. Our work is senior-led and clearly scoped from the start, and we believe projects go best when the people running them are honest about progress, risk and cost.

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of our projects. As our Construction Project Manager, you will have real ownership of your sites and programmes, a direct line to senior colleagues, and the trust to make decisions as a project develops.

Your Projects as a Construction Project Manager

• Lead construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
• Prepare and manage programmes, budgets and cost reports, and keep them accurate as work changes
• Manage contractors, consultants and suppliers, and oversee contract administration and variations
• Coordinate design information, approvals and site progress with architects, engineers and clients
• Run site meetings and inspections, and make sure quality standards are met
• Enforce health and safety requirements, including CDM 2015 duties, across every site
• Identify risks early and agree practical actions to protect the programme and the budget
• Give clients and senior colleagues clear, honest reports, including when a project is behind

Who Will Thrive in This Role

The Construction Project Manager we are looking for:

• Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing construction projects, with a record of delivery on time and within budget
• Has a good working knowledge of contracts such as JCT or NEC and of cost control
• Understands UK health and safety law, including CDM regulations, and holds a CSCS card
• Is confident with programming and project software such as Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project
• Communicates clearly and confidently with clients, contractors and site teams
• Is organised and calm, and keeps several projects moving at once
• Holds a full UK driving licence and can travel to sites as needed
• The candidate must have the right to work in the UK
• A degree or equivalent in construction or building, SMSTS, or membership of CIOB, RICS or APM is helpful but not essential.

Package and Benefits

• Salary: Competitive salary of £54,000–£59,000 per year
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, full-time and permanent
• Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
• Start date: Within two weeks, so early applications are recommended
