Construction Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution

Overview

Matchtech are supporting a key client in the recruitment of a Construction Project Manager to deliver Transmission & Distribution EPC projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from pre-construction through to commissioning, closeout and warranty, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, schedule and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead EPC projects through the full project lifecycle from planning and construction through commissioning and closeout.
• Manage project safety, quality, schedule, cost and overall project performance.
• Develop project execution strategies, construction plans and resource plans.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery.
• Manage contracts, subcontracts, procurement activities, change orders and commercial risk.
• Oversee project controls, including budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting and schedule management.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, commissioning and field operations teams.
• Manage project staffing, workforce planning and subcontractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and company requirements.
• Lead project reporting, audits, turnover and warranty activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years' project management experience within the construction industry.
• Experience delivering EPC, utility, infrastructure or Transmission & Distribution projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, contract administration, project controls and risk management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid driving licence.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with project controls, scheduling and cost management software.
• Previous experience on large-scale EPC projects.
• Experience within Transmission & Distribution, Energy, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Water or Transportation sectors.

Additional Information

• Permanent position based in Houston, TX.
• Travel requirement of up to 50%.
