Construction Project Manager

• Role : Construction Project Manager
• Location : Akron, Ohio, United States
• Job Type : Full-time, on-site; Monday–Friday
• Payout : $90,000–$120,000 per year, plus annual bonus potential.

Role Overview:

Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating field execution and project controls across commercial, education, healthcare, nonprofit, and civic work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project delivery through preconstruction, construction, and final closeout.
• Monitor field progress, safety, and quality with site leaders.
• Own budgets, contracts, pay applications, and change-order management.
• Develop early estimates and lead guaranteed-maximum-price assembly, bidding, and assumptions.
• Coordinate owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
• Mentor project engineers and administrative personnel.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management and three years of related experience.
• Familiarity with construction-manager-at-risk and guaranteed-maximum-price delivery.
• OSHA 30 certificate or willingness to obtain it and a valid driver's license.
• Strong technical knowledge of contracts, financial reporting, pay applications, and constructability reviews.
• Strong communication, organization, risk management, and problem solving.

More About the Opportunity:

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with daily office/site work and up to 10% travel. Preferred qualifications include project scheduling/management software, regional subcontractor relationships, and collaborative leadership habits.
