Construction Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Position Summary

S-Works Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead new-build and active data center construction projects, based onsite in Gainesville, VA. This role owns project execution end to end - schedule, budget, subcontractor performance, safety, and client relationships - and leads a project team of two Associate Project Managers and one Project Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of new-build and active mission-critical data center construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout
• Lead and mentor a project team of two Associate Project Managers and one Project Engineer
• Coordinate with owners, design teams, and commissioning agents on mission-critical systems, including electrical, mechanical, generator/UPS, and cooling infrastructure
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
• Manage subcontractor bidding, buyout, and ongoing performance
• Oversee the submittal, RFI, and change order processes
• Ensure jobsite compliance with S-Works safety standards and OSHA requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication and owner relationships throughout construction
• Coordinate quality control and commissioning activities specific to mission-critical systems
• Manage project closeout, including punch list completion, commissioning turnover, and as-built documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• 7–10+ years of construction project management experience, with direct experience on data center or other mission-critical construction projects required
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
• Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project required
• Strong working knowledge of MEP systems coordination in mission-critical environments
• Proven ability to lead project teams and manage multiple concurrent workstreams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience managing client and owner relationships

Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
