Construction Project Manager, Residential Homebuilding

$90K to $120K base + per-home construction bonus

A growing design and build developer is adding two Construction Project Managers to its homebuilding team in DFW, one leading a community in Crowley and one in Red Oak. Both are single-family and townhome communities, with a good share built for rent.

You won’t be picking up a phase that someone else has already started. You’ll set each community up from the ground: stormwater plan, construction trailer, model homes and amenities. Then you run the superintendents and the trades all the way through to handover. It’s a smaller team than the big nationals, so what you decide on site actually sticks.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing each community from setup through to completion
• Setting up new communities, including the SWPPP, the construction trailer and the first homes
• Overseeing construction of the model homes and amenity packages
• Leading the superintendents, including their time and attendance, quality control, and weekly and monthly safety reports
• Sourcing and vetting new trades with the purchasing team
• Running quality inspections and keeping work to code, regulations and safety standards
• Handling warranty work orders and acting as backup on service issues
• Giving stakeholders regular progress updates and fixing problems before they slow the build

What we’re looking for:

• At least 4 years of construction project management, ideally with a production or build-to-rent homebuilder
• A solid understanding of residential construction processes, materials and building codes
• Experience leading superintendents and running several homes or phases at once
• Confidence with project management software and Microsoft Office
• A strong communicator who can keep trades, supers and the office pulling in the same direction
• Based within a sensible drive of Crowley or Red Oak

• $90,000 to $120,000 base, depending on experience
