Construction Project Manager I

Responsibilities Job Summary: Manage project execution activities of several commercial construction projects with varying complexity and size while building relationships and maintaining H-E-B standards.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Manage / prioritize a high volume of small to medium complexity projects under guidance of Program Leader
• Engage in project planning, initiation, coordination and close out activities including gathering project requirements in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
• Learns to manage contractors from bid reviews, adherence to project plans, schedule phasing, and performance review
• Engage in review and verify accuracy of project information, documentation, schedules, contracting/invoicing and correspondence

Work Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials and building codes
• Proficient PC skills specifically around industry related software (MS suite, project management applications, plan review tools, etc.)
• Proficient organizational, analytical, time management and decision-making skills
• Proficient verbal / written communication, and interpersonal / collaboration skills
• Proficient troubleshooting, risk management and problem-solving skills

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or additional role-relevant experience
• Architecture, engineering, construction/project management, or related field, comparable formal training, or work experience.
• A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or experience

Licenses/Certifications Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Function in a fast-paced, office environment
• Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
