Project Manager - K-12 Construction

A well-established commercial General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their Fort Worth team. The position will focus primarily on K-12 and education construction projects across the DFW area.

This would suit someone with experience managing ground-up and/or major renovation projects who is comfortable taking ownership of a project from preconstruction through final closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage K-12 and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts and procurement
• Manage subcontractor relationships and buyout
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
• Lead OAC and client meetings
• Work closely with architects, engineers, school districts and other project stakeholders
• Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budget
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard

Ideal Background

• Previous Project Management experience with a commercial General Contractor
• K-12, education or other public-sector project experience preferred
• Experience managing ground-up and/or large renovation projects
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets and subcontractor management
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and taking ownership of projects
• Procore, Bluebeam and/or similar construction software experience beneficial
