Construction Project Manager (NT)

SwitchCo is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team!

What you'll be doing?

• Owning project delivery: Take full accountability for scope, programme, budget, and quality outcomes across projects, ensuring every milestone is met without compromise.
• Leading change and variations: Manage a disciplined change control process, assessing and approving variations while protecting the organisation's contractual position.
• Driving programme momentum: Keep schedules current and accurate, proactively flagging risks and critical path issues before they escalate.
• Managing procurement and commercials: Lead RFQ/RFT processes, administer payment claims, oversee invoicing, and monitor project profitability to protect margins.
• Championing risk, quality and HSE: Maintain risk and defect registers, conduct site audits, and ensure all vendors meet HSE and prequalification requirements.
• Building strong client relationships: Act as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders, delivering honest, transparent reporting and proactive issue management.
• Leading and developing the team: Provide direction, quality oversight, and mentorship to the Project Coordinator, helping them grow their skills and confidence.
• Protecting contractual position: Maintain a thorough understanding of contractual obligations and escalate legal, contractual, or insurance matters when needed.

Who are they looking for?

• Project management experience: A track record of delivering projects end-to-end within construction, infrastructure, or professional services, managing scope, programme, budget, and quality together.
• Commercial and contractual know-how: Solid understanding of project contracts including variations, extensions of time, and notices of delay, along with experience managing payment claims and forecasting.
• Risk and HSE capability: Confidence identifying and managing risks across multiple projects, along with a sound grasp of HSE requirements in a construction or delivery setting.
• Leadership skills: Experience guiding project teams, including remote or offshore members, and supporting a Project Coordinator's development.
• Strong communication: Clear, confident written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt style across clients, contractors, consultants, and leadership.
• Software proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and scheduling tools such as MS Project; familiarity with SharePoint, Procore, or Aconex is a plus.
• Bonus skills: Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or DocuSign is highly regarded, though not essential.
