Inergroup is seeking experienced Construction QA/QC Facilities Inspectors to support our client’s ongoing facilities projects at DFW Airport. These inspectors will perform field inspections, quality assurance reviews, and documentation of construction activities across facilities and scopes. The ideal candidate has broad experience inspecting construction work — including electrical and is comfortable working in an active airport environment. It is a hands-on field inspection role responsible for verifying compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and QA/QC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field inspections of facility-related construction activities.
  • Verify installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, ITPs, and applicable codes.
  • Inspect materials, equipment, and installed work for compliance with contract documents and approved submittals.
  • Confirm work is ready for required inspections and coordinate with third-party inspectors and airport personnel.
  • Identify deficiencies, nonconforming work, and potential issues before they impact schedule or cost.
  • Inspect electrical installations including conduit, wiring, grounding, panels, switchgear, lighting, emergency power, and related systems.
  • Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, including labor, materials, equipment, safety observations, and progress photos.
  • Document deficiencies, corrective actions, and track resolution through completion.
  • Maintain organized project documentation including inspection reports, test results, and QA/QC records.
  • Support validation of installed quantities for pay applications.
  • Work closely with contractors, QA/QC personnel, project managers, construction managers, and airport stakeholders.
  • Participate in pre-activity meetings, quality meetings, and coordination sessions.
  • Provide technical input and communication issues promptly to project leadership.
  • Support special inspections, testing activities, and commission-related inspections.

Airport Environment Requirements

  • Verify compliance with airport safety, security, and operational requirements.
  • Work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and modified shifts based on contractor activities.
  • Maintain required airport credentials and complete mandatory training.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction inspection, QA/QC and some field construction experience.
  • Broad experience inspecting construction and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, one-lines, P&IDs, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of construction QA/QC procedures, codes, and inspection practices.
  • Experience preparing detailed inspection reports and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in active construction environments.
  • Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security credentials.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in airport or aviation construction environments.
  • ICC certifications (Commercial Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Building Inspector, Combination Inspector).
  • NFPA 70E training.
  • OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.
  • Experience with construction management systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented field inspector who:

  • Understands how systems are installed in real-world conditions.
  • Identifies issues early and communicates professionally.
  • Maintains accurate, organized inspection records.
  • Works effectively with contractors and project teams.
  • Upholds the independence and integrity expected of a QA/QC inspector.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated or confined areas.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements.
