Job Overview

Quality Builders is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee quality standards across active construction projects in Chicago. This role ensures materials, workmanship, installations, and project documentation meet approved plans, specifications, codes, and company standards while working closely with project teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific quality control procedures.
• Inspect construction activities, materials, and completed work.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and quality requirements.
• Identify deficiencies, non-conforming work, and potential quality risks.
• Coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project management.
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and documentation.
• Conduct quality meetings and communicate expectations to field teams.
• Monitor subcontractor workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
• Support testing, inspections, punch-list completion, and project closeout.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in construction quality control or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent inspection, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and safety standards.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
