Construction Safety Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Safety Coordinator to champion safety excellence across our construction projects. In this vital role, you will lead efforts to develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs that ensure compliance with all relevant construction workplace safety regulations. Your expertise will foster a culture of safety, minimize risks, and promote occupational health standards across diverse construction sites. Duties

• Develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and other relevant regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to concrete & masonry construction safety procedures, occupational health concerns, and general construction site risks.
• Lead safety training sessions for construction personnel on topics such as OSHA compliance, construction safety management, and emergency response protocols including first aid and CPR.
• Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies to proactively address workplace hazards and ensure compliance with construction regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of safety issues.
• Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to enforce safety policies, conduct toolbox talks and new hire safety orientations, and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Skills

• Must be fluent in Spanish
• Extensive knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC codes, and OSHA’s Occupational Health guidelines.
• Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Expertise in occupational health practices tailored specifically for construction environments.
• Ability to lead team training initiatives on safety training implementation and compliance management effectively.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office tools for recordkeeping and reporting purposes.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence teams positively while ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and liaising with regulatory agencies as needed.

• Osha 30 minimum
• Excavation Competent Person Training
• Fall Protection Competent Person Training

Pay: $53,300.00 - $88,400.00 per year
