Construction Services Manager

Talint’s client builds high-end custom homes in Northern Virginia. Homes typically cost $2.5 million to $4.5 million and are located inside the Beltway.

We’re looking for a Service Manager to finish punch-list items—the small jobs left at the end of construction—and handle repairs during the company’s one-year warranty. You’ll do light repairs yourself and arrange for subcontractors to handle larger jobs.

The right person takes pride in their work, is dependable, and treats homeowners and their homes with respect.

Requirements:

• Experience in home construction, handyman work, home repairs, or warranty service.
• Hands-on skills in drywall repair, painting, and trim touch-ups.
• An eye for detail and the ability to do neat, high-quality work.
• Ability to spot problems and know when to call in a skilled trade.
• Good planning skills and the ability to manage several repair jobs and follow through.
• Ability to work well with homeowners and subcontractors and travel to homes inside the Beltway in Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities:

• Finish punch-list items, including small drywall repairs, paint touch-ups, and trim repairs.
• Visit homes to check warranty issues and decide what repairs are needed.
• Do light repairs yourself and schedule subcontractors for larger jobs or work that needs a skilled trade.
• Keep homeowners updated on repair plans, appointments, and schedule changes.
• Track open repair jobs, follow up with subcontractors, and check that the work is done right.
• Ensure that subcontractors protect floors, finishes, and customer belongings, and clean up after each job.
