Construction Site Engineer

A prominent property development and construction company based in Chania, expertised in designing, developing, and constructing residential properties, luxury villas, boutique hotels, and mixed-use commercial buildings, is lookin for an experienced Construction Site Engineer.

As a Construction Site Engineer your responsibilities will be :

• Daily site management, organization, task allocation, and direct coordination of crews and subcontractors.
• Reading, understanding, and implementing architectural and technical drawings, along with the timely identification of any discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
• Close monitoring of project progress against the construction schedule, identifying critical-path tasks, and reporting potential delays.
• Continuous quality control of executed works, inspection and acceptance of subcontractor tasks, and tracking the resolution of defects.
• Management of on-site materials (checking quantities, deliveries, and proper storage) and timely notification to the Procurement department for new orders.
• Preparation of daily and weekly progress reports for Management, supported by photographic documentation.
• Strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures, ensuring the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and collaborating with the Safety Technician.

The ideal candidate for the position of Construction Site Engineer will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Recommended minimum of 3 years of experience in managing building construction sites.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD (primarily for reading drawings, quantity surveying, measuring, and making minor technical adjustments).
• Practical knowledge of residential construction stages.
• Strong skills in organization, crew leadership, problem-solving, and quality orientation.
