Construction Site Labourer

Capital is an established Principal Contractor working across commercial and retail construction in the UK. Our projects include cut-and-carve schemes, refurbishments, shopfitting and new-build commercial work.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking Construction Site Labourer to support our site teams on a live commercial project at Eden Walk shopping centre.

Responsibilities:
Job Role:

• Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, bricklayers, dryliners, M&E and others) as directed
• Load, unload and move materials, tools and equipment safely around site
• Carry out general labouring duties including site clearance, housekeeping and waste segregation
• Support groundworks, formwork, concreting and basic preparation tasks where required
• Help set up and maintain temporary works, barriers, welfare and security as instructed
• Follow all site rules, method statements, risk assessments and health & safety procedures
• Report hazards, near misses and defects immediately to supervisors
• Keep work areas clean, organised and free of trip hazards
• Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
• Support plant and vehicle movements where trained and authorised
• Using tools and equipment to complete basic construction tasks.

Requirements:

• General knowledge of building and construction practices
• Attention to detail and a good knowledge of health and safety whilst on site.
• A good level of physical fitness to perform physical tasks such as moving materials.
• Able to complete basic construction tasks to support other professionals.
• Previous experience as a Labourer preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• A valid CSCS Card
• Full PPE (this can be provided on site).

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: £10.85-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 70.0 per week
