What they need

Overview

EcoFusion Builders is a general contracting company based in Coquitlam, BC, providing residential and commercial construction and renovation services throughout the Lower Mainland. We specialize in home renovations and remodeling, including kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovations, as well as deck and fence construction, concrete work, flooring installation, painting, drywall, and commercial renovation projects.

We are currently looking for a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction and renovation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management and leadership skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects, contractors, trades, suppliers, schedules, and project priorities effectively. Previous experience managing construction projects is highly preferred. If you are a dependable and results-oriented professional looking to take a key role in managing construction projects with a growing general contractor, we encourage you to apply.

Duties

  • Plan, organize, direct, and oversee multiple construction and renovation projects from pre-construction through final completion, with overall responsibility for project budgets, schedules, resources, and delivery
  • Develop detailed project budgets, cost estimates, schedules, milestones, and execution plans based on construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and client requirements.
  • Manage project financial performance by monitoring costs, labour, materials, subcontractor expenses, change orders, invoices, and budget variances, and implement corrective measures as required.
  • Evaluate and select subcontractors, trades, and suppliers; negotiate pricing and contractual terms; and administer contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and procurement activities.
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractors, site personnel, suppliers, consultants, and other project participants to ensure construction activities are completed according to project requirements and established schedules
  • Oversee project quality and compliance through regular site reviews, ensuring work conforms to approved drawings, specifications, applicable building codes, safety requirements, and company quality standards
  • Serve as the primary project contact for clients and key stakeholders, providing progress and budget updates, managing expectations, and resolving significant construction, scheduling and contractual issues
  • Lead projects through inspections, deficiency resolution, final walkthroughs, handover, and close-out, ensuring projects are successfully delivered on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards

Requirements/Education and other requirements

  • Completion of secondary school is required; post-secondary education in construction management/technology, civil/industrial engineering, project management or a related field is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Previous experience managing or supervising construction projects, trades, subcontractors, or site operations
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction and renovation methods, materials, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience in estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, cost control, and subcontractor coordination
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work effectively in both office and construction-site environments
