Construction Site Project Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Site Project Supervisor to join SUPERWOOD INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. based in Kinarut, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and completion of construction projects on site. As a Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing site personnel, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role is integral to our operations and directly impacts the quality and efficiency of our construction deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily construction activities on site to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines and budgets
• Supervise and coordinate construction teams, including labourers, tradespeople and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality standards
• Monitor and manage project schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective measures
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and building codes
• Maintain comprehensive site documentation, progress reports and records for all construction activities
• Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) protocols and procedures on site
• Communicate regularly with project management, clients and stakeholders regarding project progress and any issues
• Manage site resources, including materials, equipment and personnel allocation
• Address and resolve site-based conflicts and issues in a professional and timely manner
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits and contractual obligations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in construction site supervision or project management roles
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations and building codes
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise diverse teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
• Sound understanding of project scheduling, budgeting and cost control
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering or related field (preferred)
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required
• Knowledge of HSE management systems and certifications such as OSHA or equivalent (preferred)
