Construction Superintendent

Superintendent - High-End Commercial Interiors | NYC

We’re working with a well-established New York City general contractor looking to add an experienced Superintendent to its team.

The role will focus on high-end commercial interior projects across NYC , with a particular interest in Superintendents who have delivered luxury restaurant, hospitality, retail, or similarly detailed interior build-outs .

The Role

You’ll take day-to-day ownership of projects in the field, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule and quality, and working closely with Project Management and client teams from mobilization through closeout. Typical responsibilities include:

• Managing all day-to-day site operations
• Coordinating subcontractors and sequencing trades
• Maintaining project schedules and driving milestones
• Overseeing quality control and ensuring a high standard of finish
• Managing site safety and compliance
• Coordinating inspections, deliveries and site logistics
• Working closely with Project Managers, architects, consultants and clients
• Managing punch list and project closeout

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor
• Strong background in commercial interior construction in New York City
• Experience delivering high-end / luxury interiors
• Restaurant and hospitality experience is particularly desirable
• Strong understanding of NYC construction, subcontractors and site logistics
• Ability to manage fast-paced projects with demanding schedules and finish requirements
• Strong communication, organization and leadership skills
