Construction Superintendent

CS Builders Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial construction and tenant improvement projects throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

The Superintendent will manage daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain the project schedule, ensure quality and safety compliance, and communicate closely with the Project Manager, clients, architects, inspectors, and property management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily jobsite operations from mobilization through project closeout.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and site logistics.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and approved revisions.
• Prepare daily reports, progress photos, manpower records, and field documentation.
• Conduct subcontractor coordination and safety meetings.
• Develop and maintain short-term lookahead schedules.
• Monitor construction progress and identify potential schedule impacts.
• Coordinate required inspections with city officials, landlords, and other authorities.
• Verify that work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Coordinate material deliveries and confirm that materials are available before scheduled installation.
• Prepare and complete punch-list and closeout items.
• Immediately report field conflicts, delays, safety concerns, and unforeseen conditions to the Project Manager.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar field-management position.
• Commercial construction or retail tenant improvement experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, building systems, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
• Experience coordinating inspections, subcontractors, and multiple trades.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage fast-paced projects and meet demanding schedules.
• Proficiency with email, digital drawings, daily reporting, and construction management software.
• Procore experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Korean or English/Spanish is a plus.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements

• Ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders, and lift construction materials when necessary.
• Must be available for occasional night, weekend, or after-hours work based on project requirements.
• Must be able to travel to project sites throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
