Construction Superintendent

About Us: Ramsey Contracting is a growing General Contractor specializing in commercial and residential construction projects, including new home construction. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Superintendent to join our team.

Job Summary: We're looking for a performance driven candidate that thrives on making a significant impact in their organization. The Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential construction, be bilingual in both Spanish and English, exhibit strong leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and team members effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finalize project schedules and proactively resolve conflicts.
• Create takeoffs and ensure material procurement aligns with project timelines.
• Traveling between 1-2project sites daily.
• Coordinate bid meetings and site-walks with subcontractors.
• Schedule and manage inspections, process RFIs, and ensure compliance with local building codes.
• Review all selections and project specifications for potential issues before execution.
• Continuously review and update the project schedule to reflect real-time progress.
• Conduct pre- and post-subcontractor work inspections and meetings.
• Maintain clear, concise, and accurate daily logs for client presentation.
• Identify and communicate potential delays, scope gaps, and project issues promptly.
• Review plans and selections daily to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Organize, inventory, and manage materials on-site.
• Ensure safe and organized storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Ensure plans, a first-aid kit, and water are always available on-site.
• Step in and self-perform subcontractor work or cover scope gaps when necessary.
• Prepare and present weekly progress reports and monthly project updates.
• Management of 5-10 projects a year.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• Familiarity with BuilderTrend or similar construction software.
• Experience in both commercial and residential construction, including new home builds.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing project demands.
• Strong understanding of job site safety regulations and protocols.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Benefits:

• $65-75k starting salary based on experience.
• $80k + salary after 1 year.
