Role Description The Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Williston, VT. This position oversees daily field operations, including supervising subcontractors and crews, coordinating schedules, and ensuring work is completed according to plans and specifications. The superintendent monitors site safety, enforces compliance with safety regulations, and maintains a clean, organized jobsite. Responsibilities include tracking project progress, assisting with budgeting and cost control, communicating with project managers and stakeholders, and resolving on-site issues in a timely manner. The role also requires documenting activities, conducting regular inspections, and supporting high-quality workmanship throughout the construction process.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Construction Site Management skills, including supervision of crews, coordination of subcontractors, and oversight of daily field operations.
• Candidates should possess solid Construction Safety knowledge, including OSHA compliance, implementation of safety plans, and promotion of a safe work environment.
• Candidates should possess effective Organization Skills, including schedule coordination, documentation management, and attention to detail on complex projects.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting and cost control skills, including tracking expenses, supporting change order management, and aligning work with financial goals.
• Candidates should possess Project Management abilities, including planning, prioritizing tasks, communicating with stakeholders, and meeting deadlines.
• Relevant experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar leadership role in commercial or institutional construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; proficiency with basic construction technology and project management software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and clients.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed; familiarity with New England construction practices is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
