Construction Superintendent

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of construction regulations and safety protocols. As a Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate teams, manage subcontractors, review technical drawings, and ensure seamless project scheduling and delivery.

Duties

• Lead daily on-site operations, supervising crews and subcontractors to maintain productivity and safety standards.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate implementation of project plans.
• Develop, update, and manage detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate procurement, budgeting, and resource allocation while managing project costs effectively.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Oversee quality control processes, inspecting work for compliance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
• Manage contract administration tasks including reviewing contracts, change orders, and ensuring adherence to project scope.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Prolog, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Ohmmeter for documentation, tracking progress, and reporting.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues promptly, and ensure safety compliance across the project site.
• Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and team members.
• Supervise the review of construction schedules in coordination with project managers to align timelines with project milestones.
• Lead team meetings to discuss progress updates, safety concerns, and upcoming tasks while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent with a strong background in commercial or heavy civil construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including scheduling (Primavera P6), estimating (Construction estimating), budgeting (HeavyBid), and contract management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams in fast-paced environments with excellent leadership skills.
• Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans.
• Familiarity with construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards and federal safety protocols for heavy civil or pipeline projects.
• Skilled in using construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog; experience with Primavera P6 is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction regulations related to commercial projects including quality control procedures and safety management systems.
• Effective managerial communication skills with the ability to supervise crews efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
• Prior experience supervising site operations from groundbreaking through project closeout while managing schedules and budgets effectively.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
