Construction Superintendent

Overview

BCM is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the successful execution of custom home builds, additions, ADUs, and design-build projects across the Merrimack Valley, North Shore, and Southern New Hampshire regions. As a key leader on our construction sites, the Construction Superintendent will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This full-time role offers an opportunity to manage diverse residential construction projects within a reputable company committed to craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring work progresses according to schedule and project specifications.
• Manage and coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to guide project execution effectively.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and construction safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members to facilitate smooth project flow.
• Address on-site issues promptly, making decisions that minimize delays and maintain project integrity.
• Ensure proper documentation of daily activities, safety incidents, and project progress reports.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction site management with a focus on residential projects such as custom homes, additions, or ADUs.
• Strong crew management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Solid understanding of construction project management principles and scheduling techniques.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety management practices.
• Familiarity with construction regulations applicable to commercial and residential building projects.
• Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues swiftly while maintaining safety and quality standards.
