What they need

Lead the Field. Build Something That Lasts.

At Lloyd Construction, we aren't looking for just another Superintendent—we're looking for the right field leader to become part of the Lloyd family.

Construction is about more than managing a jobsite. It's about leading people, building trust, solving problems, protecting relationships, and delivering quality work everyone can be proud of.

Our culture is grounded in The Lloyd Way—the values that guide how we work, lead, and represent Lloyd every day:

Safety. Quality. Efficiency. Integrity. Excellence. Community. Courage. Heart.

We're looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent who shares those values and wants more than their next project. We want someone interested in building a long-term career with Lloyd, leading by example, developing the people around them, and contributing to the reputation we've built since 1969.

If you take ownership of your projects, care about your people, communicate well, and believe the right way of doing something matters, we want to meet you.

The Opportunity

Our Construction Superintendents are the driving force behind successful project delivery in the field.

As the on-site leader, you will oversee day-to-day field operations and take ownership of the jobsite from mobilization through completion. You'll coordinate subcontractors, field crews, equipment, materials, schedules, safety, quality, and site logistics while keeping the project moving forward.

You'll work closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Owner, design team, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to identify challenges early, develop solutions, and deliver a successful project.

At Lloyd, being a Superintendent means more than running a jobsite. You're representing our company, leading our people, protecting our reputation, and bringing The Lloyd Way to the field every day.

Role & ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Coordination

  • Serve as Lloyd Construction's on-site field leader and set the standard for professionalism, accountability, safety, and quality.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Owners, architects, subcontractors, field personnel, and project partners.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, field crews, and other on-site personnel.
  • Clearly communicate responsibilities, expectations, sequencing, and priorities.
  • Lead daily field operations and maintain an organized, productive, and professional jobsite.
  • Mentor and support field personnel while holding project teams accountable.
  • Foster communication, coordination, and collaboration between field and office teams.

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Oversee implementation of the project plan, including scheduling, logistics, phasing, and resource coordination.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and design partners to align construction methods, schedules, and expectations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, contract documents, subcontract agreements, and project requirements.
  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term project schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain daily and weekly work plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractor sequencing to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts, material delays, and other impacts before they affect the project.
  • Troubleshoot field conditions involving design, materials, labor, logistics, weather, and other construction challenges.
  • Proactively identify changes in scope or project conditions and communicate them promptly.
  • Develop recovery plans and coordinate corrective action when necessary.

Quality Control

  • Ensure work meets Lloyd Construction's quality standards, contract requirements, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs and inspections.
  • Identify deficient or incomplete work and coordinate timely corrective action.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to ensure projects meet established quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
  • Promote a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.

Safety

Safety is the first value of The Lloyd Way and an expectation of every leader in our company.

  • Lead by example and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Enforce Lloyd Construction's safety policies, procedures, and project-specific requirements.
  • Conduct required safety meetings and support ongoing safety training.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Coordinate with project teams and safety personnel to address potential hazards.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable OSHA requirements and safety standards.
  • Ensure subcontractors understand and comply with jobsite safety expectations.

Cost & Resource Management

  • Coordinate the timely delivery and use of materials, equipment, and field resources.
  • Monitor resource usage and help protect the project's budget.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings without sacrificing safety or quality.
  • Track Lloyd-owned and rented equipment assigned to the project.
  • Coordinate required equipment maintenance and promptly release rented equipment when no longer needed.

Communication & Documentation

  • Serve as the primary connection between field operations and the office project team.
  • Maintain professional communication with Owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients.
  • Provide timely updates regarding project progress, upcoming work, challenges, and potential impacts.
  • Lead and coordinate weekly subcontractor meetings.
  • Maintain complete and accurate daily project documentation.
  • Keep project information current in Procore.
  • Document jobsite activities, manpower, progress, delays, weather conditions, inspections, safety matters, and significant project events.
  • Maintain accurate employee time reporting for personnel assigned to the jobsite.
  • Escalate significant project issues promptly and provide potential solutions whenever possible.
