Construction Supervisor

Job Summary
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction and non-routine maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mining facilities, equipment and infrastructure. This is a Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. position. This position combines technical design work, hands-on leadership, and oversight of non-routine maintenance and construction projects. The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rigging, pump systems, maintenance best practices, project management, and CAD experience a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise maintenance personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with plant superintendents to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
• Conduct root cause failure analyses and recommend correct actions.
• Help identify place process deficiencies and work to provide solutions, including concepts, designing, building, and installation.
• Design and review modifications to existing equipment, facilities, and systems.
• Provide technical expertise for installations, upgrades, and repairs.
• Assist plant superintendents and purchasing manager with equipment selection, procurement, and specification development.
• Ensure all designs and projects comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure quality workmanship.
• Mange project schedules, timelines, and planning activities through the project life cycle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred mechanical engineering or trade school/industrial maintenance apprenticeship.
• 5+ years of mining/industrial maintenance and fabrication experience.
• Experience in supervising maintenance personnel, contractors, and construction crews.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials required by job.
• Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by job.

Working Conditions

• Based at a surface mining operation with majority of time spent in industrial plants and outdoor conditions.
• Occasional after-hours or emergency response support may be required.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
