Construction Survey Crew Member

Location: Savannah, GA and surrounding areas

Position: Construction Survey Crew Member / Survey Assistant

We are looking for dependable and motivated Construction Survey Crew Members to join our field surveying team. This is a hands-on position supporting construction layout and surveying operations on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Survey Crew Chief with daily field surveying operations
• Perform construction layout and staking for utilities, roads, grading, and site improvements
• Set stakes, hubs, benchmarks, and other survey points
• Operate and assist with GPS/GNSS equipment, total stations, levels, and other surveying instruments
• Hold prism/rod and assist with collecting accurate field measurements
• Read and understand basic plans, drawings, and construction documents
• Maintain surveying equipment and keep the work area organized
• Follow safety procedures while working around heavy equipment and active construction sites
• Perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with the Crew Chief and construction personnel

Qualifications

• Construction or surveying experience is a plus, but entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply
• Previous experience with survey equipment is preferred but not required
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry equipment as needed
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Must be able to work safely around construction equipment and job-site hazards
