Construction Surveyor - Land Development

The opportunity

Reporting to the Survey Manager and Site Project Manager, your primary role is to support the survey team across active land development projects.

The role is mix of field and office. You could be on site setting out or in the office processing as-built information and creating designs. Based in their southern team, with projects around Papakura, Drury, Pukekohe.

Key responsibilities:

• Review designs from consulting engineers to ensure buildability.
• Plan, set out and coordination of site works.
• Manage collection of data, documents, plans and information relevant to the works.
• Prepare monthly claims and maintain as-built records, drawings, and survey data for project completion.
• Collect and compile data relating to QA, quantity measurement and as-built information for presentation to clients and consultants
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate delivery of survey requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Your Experience

• 3-5 years experience in civil surveying - infrastructure, roads, earthworks, or utilities.
• Adept with surveying instruments Leica GNSS, Total Station, levels.
• Drafting experience preferably with AutoCAD - Civil 3D, with an understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and tolerances and an understanding of erosion sediment controls and design.
• Experience with drones and processing preferable with Pix4d software.
• Knowledge of Auckland Council, Auckland Transport and Watercare standards.
• Problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to self-manage and work collaborative as part of the team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**We are also hiring a Survey Assistant which is an entry level role, we are hiring on attitude, work ethic and drive to build a career in civil construction. You could be a school leaver or a survey graduate looking to build a long-term pathway within surveying or wider civil construction teams.**
