We are seeking a Construction System Owner (Electrical & Instrumentation) to provide field-based technical leadership and construction coordination on a major pharmaceutical capital project. This role serves as the technical authority for E&I installations, ensuring systems are installed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, technical specifications, validated submittals, GMP requirements, and project standards.

You will work closely with engineering, construction, automation, CQV, and project leadership teams to resolve installation challenges, coordinate interfaces between disciplines, and drive system readiness for energization, commissioning, qualification, and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Electrical & Instrumentation technical point of contact for construction coordination, system integration, and installation readiness.
  • Provide field-based technical oversight of electrical distribution systems, control panels, field instrumentation, cabling, and associated installations.
  • Verify installations align with approved IFC documentation, technical specifications, validated submittals, project requirements, and GMP expectations.
  • Identify and escalate constructability issues, installation conflicts, technical deviations, and risks impacting construction progress or system functionality.
  • Coordinate interfaces between electrical systems, instrumentation, automation systems, process equipment, mechanical systems, and CSA infrastructure.
  • Support cable routing, device installation, system integration activities, and coordination across multiple construction trades.
  • Maintain field observation records and communicate installation progress, integration readiness, and emerging risks to project leadership.
  • Support energization readiness, commissioning preparation, system walkdowns, readiness reviews, and punch-list resolution.
  • Confirm turnover documentation is complete and aligned with project turnover requirements.
  • Support project governance activities, reporting requirements, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of field experience supporting Electrical & Instrumentation installations on large pharmaceutical, biotech, or GMP-regulated capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards including NFPA 70 (NEC), IEC standards, and ATEX requirements.
  • Experience with electrical distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, emergency power systems, cable trays, and associated infrastructure.
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems, including field instruments, control panels, signal wiring, loop verification, and system integration activities.
  • Experience supporting inspections, energization readiness, commissioning activities, qualification support, and turnover documentation.
  • Strong understanding of GMP construction practices, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to identify installation risks, technical issues, and quality concerns within complex multi-discipline construction environments.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, CQV teams, automation teams, and project leadership to resolve technical challenges and drive project execution.
