Construction Technician (Técnico de Construcción) — AeroBarrier West
Bountiful, UT | Full-Time | $20 - $28/hour DOE

ABOUT THE ROLE
AeroBarrier West needs a hands-on Construction Technician to perform on-site air-sealing at new construction job sites. You will report at 7am every morning to meetup with your crew, get your equipment, and go with your team to job-sites to install the AeroBarrier air-sealing solution. Most days end at 3pm; after 40 hours/week, then overtime pay begins.

AeroBarrier creates high-performance construction and energy-efficiency solutions in residential and multi-family buildings. We work with contractors to seal gaps and cracks in order to reduce air leakage. Our teams use an automated air sealant with misted hoses and high-speed fans. We perform our service after drywall and before paint in a one-time process that reduces energy demand, improves air quality, and increases home comfort.

COMPENSATION

Full Time: $20 per hour to start, pay bump after 3 months if all goals are met

Leadership: Our jobs will double in the next year; technicians will be promoted to leads if they work hard.

Hours: 40 hours Mon-Fri (overtime pay provided if, occasionally longer hours are needed)

Reporting to: Lead TechnicianTraining: On the Job

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to do physical labor (stand on ladders, lift 50 pounds, walk on uneven terrain at job sites)
• Basic math and geometry skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Punctual and reliable
• Must have transportation to and from the office
• Must have mobile phone to communicate with team
• Basic knowledge of construction preferred (tools, materials, processes, reading blueprints is a plus)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in 4 hours of on-the-job training.
• Perform set-up of hoses, cables and equipment to install the AeroBarrier product.
• Prep construction sites for installation with tape and plastic (similar to a paint-prep).
• Load and unload construction materials.
• Perform site clean-up.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools related to work.
• Learn all AeroBarrier operation methods, equipment maintenance, and company procedures.

SOBRE EL PUESTOAeroBarrier West necesita un técnico de construcción práctico para realizar el sellado de aire en el sitio en obras de nueva construcción. Se reportará a las 7:00 a. M, todas las mañanas, para reunirse con su equipo, recoger su equipo e ir con su equipo a los sitios de trabajo para instalar la solución de sellado de aire AeroBarrier. La mayoría de los días terminan a las 3:00 p. m.; después de 40 horas semanales, se paga el tiempo extra.

SOBRE AEROBARRIER WESTAeroBarrier crea soluciones de construcción de alto rendimiento y eficiencia energética en edificios residenciales y multifamiliares. Trabajamos con contratistas para sellar huecos y grietas, a fin de reducir las fugas de aire. Nuestros equipos utilizan un sellador de aire automatizado con mangueras atomizadas y ventiladores de alta velocidad. Realizamos nuestro servicio después del panel de yeso (drywall) y antes de la pintura en una instalación única de sellador que reduce la demanda de energía, mejora la calidad del aire y aumenta la comodidad del hogar.

COMPENSACIÓN

Tiempo completo: $20-$25 por hora, aumento de sueldo después de 3 meses si se cumplen todos los objetivos

Liderazgo: Nuestros trabajos se duplicarán en el próximo año; los técnicos serán promovidos a líderes

REQUISITOS / CALIFICACIONES

• Capacidad para realizar trabajo físico (estar de pie en escaleras, levantar 50 libras, caminar por terrenos irregulares en los sitios de trabajo)
• Habilidades básicas de matemáticas y geometría
• Organizado y orientado a los detalles
• Puntual y confiable
• Debe tener transporte hacia y desde la oficina
• Debe tener teléfono móvil para comunicarse con el equipo
• Se prefieren conocimientos básicos de construcción (herramientas, materiales, procesos, lectura de planos es un plus)

RESPONSABILIDADES

• Participar en 4 horas de capacitación práctica en el trabajo.
• Configurar mangueras, cables y equipos para la instalación del producto AeroBarrier.
• Preparar los sitios de construcción para la instalación con cinta y plástico (similar a la preparación para pintar).
• Cargar y descargar materiales de construcción.
• Realizar la limpieza del sitio de trabajo.
• Ayudar a mantener y reparar equipos y herramientas relacionados con el trabajo.
• Aprender todos los métodos de operación de AeroBarrier, el mantenimiento de los equipos y los procedimientos de la empresa.
