Construction Worker

Job Summary

Hawkins Construction Company is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused Construction Worker to support construction projects and daily job-site operations. The ideal candidate will assist skilled workers, prepare job sites, handle materials and tools, and help complete construction tasks safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction and job-site activities.
• Prepare and clean construction sites before, during, and after projects.
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and equipment.
• Assist skilled tradespeople with assigned construction tasks.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely when trained and authorized.
• Measure, cut, carry, and position materials as directed.
• Assist with demolition, installation, assembly, and repair work.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Follow project instructions, work schedules, and supervisor directions.
• Use personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, or equipment issues.
• Assist with digging, lifting, hauling, and other physical job-site tasks as required.
• Protect materials, tools, equipment, and completed work from damage.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors, contractors, and other crew members.
• Perform other construction and general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, general labor, or job-site experience is preferred but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials and equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday schedule may be available.
• Overtime, early mornings, or occasional weekend work may be required depending on project needs.
