Constuction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Project Manager to join PT Arsitek Arupadatu on a contract basis. This is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing all on-site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Based in West Jakarta, the Project Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating teams, managing resources and maintaining quality standards across construction projects. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can manage multiple stakeholders whilst maintaining focus on operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing daily site operations and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, timelines and budgets
• Managing and supervising site personnel, including labourers, tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Coordinating the delivery and storage of materials and equipment, optimising logistics and minimising waste
• Conducting regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets required standards and specifications
• Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to communicate progress, address concerns and resolve issues promptly
• Maintaining comprehensive site documentation, including daily reports, progress records, timesheets and safety logs
• Implementing and monitoring health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel
• Identifying and managing project risks, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating issues as necessary
• Preparing accurate cost reports and tracking expenditures to maintain budget control
• Arranging site meetings and toolbox talks to ensure clear communication amongst the team

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager or equivalent senior on-site management role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations and health and safety compliance requirements in Indonesia
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants and contractors at all levels
• Proficiency in site management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines and budgets
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• Relevant certifications in construction services (such as SKA/SKK certification) are highly desirable
