Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled SQL Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining relational databases. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database optimization. The candidate will work closely with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality database solutions.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain SQL database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for application development and reporting.- Perform query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis to improve database performance.- Develop ETL processes and support data migration activities.- Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and high availability.- Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.- Monitor database performance and resolve production issues.- Collaborate with application developers and QA teams during development and deployment.- Maintain database documentation, scripts, and release versions.- Participate in code reviews and recommend database best practices.Required Technical Skills- Strong knowledge of SQL and Relational Database Management Systems.- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.- Expertise in:- Stored Procedures- Functions- Views- Triggers- CTEs- Joins- Window Functions- Temporary Tables- Strong understanding of indexing strategies and query optimization.- Experience in database performance tuning and execution plans.- Knowledge of transactions, locking, concurrency, and normalization.- Experience with ETL processes and data migration.- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.- Exposure to SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (preferred for Microsoft SQL Server environments).- Basic understanding of cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL) is an advantage.Preferred Skills- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), Retail, Healthcare, Telecom, or Airline domains.- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Educational Qualification- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.- Relevant database certifications are an added advantage.Good to Have- Azure SQL Database- AWS RDS- Snowflake- PostgreSQL Administration- Data Warehousing concepts- Database Security- CI/CD for Database DeploymentsKey Competencies- Strong analytical thinking- Attention to detail- Ability to work independently- Team collaboration- Time management- Ownership and accountabilityNice-to-Have Certifications- Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate- Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate- PostgreSQL Certification- AWS Database Specialty (preferred)Experience Required- 3–8 years of hands-on SQL Development experience.- Experience in database design, SQL programming, and performance tuning.- Production support experience is preferred.
