Consultant GCP Engineer | 4–6 Years | Bangalore

Hiring a hands-on GCP Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and dbt. Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
2. Work extensively with Google BigQuery for data storage, processing, transformation, and analytical workloads.
3. Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt (data build tool).
4. Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to support efficient data processing and analytics.
5. Build, maintain, and optimize data models to support reporting, analytics, and business requirements.
6. Implement data quality checks, testing, and validation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
7. Optimize BigQuery queries and data models for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
8. Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and resolve data transformation and processing errors.
9. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
10. Follow best practices for version control, documentation, testing, deployment, and data governance.

Requirements:

1. 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, or a related field.
2. Strong practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
3. Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including SQL development and query optimization.
4. Strong experience with dbt for data transformation, data modelling, and testing.
5. Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
6. Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and ETL/ELT processes.
7. Experience in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines.
8. Knowledge of data quality, validation, testing, and data governance practices.
9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
10. Immediate joiners preferred and willingness to work in a hybrid setup in Bangalore.
