Consultant General Paediatrician

About the role

Paeds Plus is seeking experienced Consultant General Paediatricians to join an established and growing private paediatric practice based in Currambine, Perth (starting immediatly) & a brand new Claremont facility from July 2027. You will have the opportunity to practise broad general paediatric medicine while developing or expanding your clinical interests in ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Your practice may include general paediatric presentations, infant and feeding concerns, growth and nutrition, asthma, gastrointestinal conditions, chronic medical conditions, ADHD, autism, learning and developmental difficulties, and complex presentations requiring multidisciplinary management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general paediatric clinical care across a range of presentations
• Conduct ADHD assessment and management
• Assess and manage autism and neurodevelopmental conditions
• Contribute to multidisciplinary care coordination for children with complex medical and developmental needs
• Maintain evidence-based practice and continuity of care
• Collaborate with paediatricians, GPs, child and adolescent psychiatry and allied health team members

About you

• FRACP in Paediatrics and Child Health, or an appropriate equivalent qualification
• Specialist registration with Ahpra, or eligibility to obtain registration
• Broad general paediatric clinical experience
• Willingness to include ADHD assessment and management in your caseload (training and supervision provided)
• Interest in autism and neurodevelopmental conditions
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to family-centred care
• Private practice experience is desirable but not essential

Paeds Plus is an established private paediatric healthcare organisation based in Currambine & Claremont, Perth, Western Australia, with consistent year-on-year growth and a 100% medical staff retention rate. The organisation is progressing towards opening a second location in Claremont, Perth, targeted for July 2027, planned to be one of the largest private paediatric services in Western Australia. The medical team includes 7 Paediatricians, 3 General Practitioners, and 1 Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. The allied health team includes 2 Occupational Therapists, 2 Speech Pathologists, and 1 Dietitian. Clinicians are supported by dedicated practice management, patient-care coordination and medical administration staff, providing opportunities for collaborative assessment, multidisciplinary care and long-term management of children with complex medical and developmental needs.
