Consultant Plastic Surgeon

Roles and Responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose conditions and develop appropriate surgical treatment plans.
• Perform plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures according to clinical requirements.
• Manage trauma-related injuries, burns, congenital deformities, wounds and post-surgical reconstruction cases.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care and follow-up.
• Respond to emergency plastic and reconstructive surgery consultations.
• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, intensivists, nurses and other clinical departments.
• Explain procedures, expected outcomes, possible risks and recovery plans to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Follow NABH standards, infection-control protocols and hospital safety guidelines.
• Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings and quality-improvement activities.
• Guide junior doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals when required.

Educational Qualification

• MBBS with MCh, DNB or DrNB in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
• Valid registration with the National Medical Commission or relevant State Medical Council
