Job Summary

Seeking a Teradata Developer with expertise in SQL, Teradata, and data warehousing. Responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting ETL and database solutions. Experience in performance tuning, data integration, and troubleshooting is essential. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in Teradata environments.
• Develop, optimize, and support ETL processes for large-scale data integration and data warehousing solutions.
• Perform query tuning, performance optimization, and workload management to ensure efficient data processing.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable database and data model designs.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Work with large datasets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and governance compliance.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Develop and automate data validation, reconciliation, and reporting processes using SQL and Python.
• Support data migration, transformation, and integration activities across multiple source systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process workflows.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to project planning, estimation, and delivery.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and database best practices.

Core Competencies

• Over 5 years of experience with Teradata data warehouse implementation and ETL pipeline development
• Hand on Experience on writing Teradata SQL.
• Work closely with Business Users to convert the business requirement into Technical Requirement.
• Prepare Test cases for Unit Testing/SIT/Regression
• Hands-on experience in Teradata utilities such as Fast Load, Multi Load, BTEQ, and TPT
• Experienced in development testing and deployment, coding standards, and best practices
• Experience in preparing technical design documentation
• Experience in data quality management and best practices across data solution implementations
• Should be good in Unix Shell scripting
• Should have knowledge on Data warehouse Concepts
• Troubleshooting of Data Stage jobs and addressing production issues like performance tuning and enhancement
• Hands on experience in Control M Scheduling tool Experience in identifying vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, adopting best practice guidelines, standards, and procedures
• Knowledge of Core Banking Domain is an advantage

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Teradata SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL frameworks.
• Experience with Python scripting for automation and data processing.
• Familiarity with Hive, Hadoop ecosystem, and workflow scheduling tools such as Airflow/Oozie.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
