As the business continues to grow, they are expanding their accounting team and looking for experienced professionals who understand the unique financial and operational needs of consumer-focused businesses.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on accounting experience within CPG brands, particularly in the food & beverage, pet, beauty, health & wellness, or other consumer goods industries.

📃 Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Client’s growing accounting team.

This role is ideal for someone with 4–15 years of accounting experience who has worked directly with a CPG brand and has independently owned the month-end close process using QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To excel in this role, candidates must meet three key requirements:

• Direct accounting experience within a CPG brand, particularly in food & beverage, pet, beauty, or health & wellness.
• Proven experience owning the month-end close process.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).

✅ Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for consumer brand businesses.
• Own and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Reconcile Shopify, point-of-sale, and other sales platforms with accounting records.
• Work with inventory management systems and similar operational tools.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accounting discrepancies independently.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Support other accounting processes as needed.
• Analyze transactions and identify potential issues or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve financial and operational discrepancies.
• Use accounting and technology tools efficiently to improve processes and workflows.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to the team.

🎓 Requirements

• 4–15 years of professional accounting experience.
• Direct accounting experience working for a CPG or consumer brand, particularly in Food & Beverage, Pet, Beauty / Cosmetics, or Health & Wellness.
• Proven experience independently owning the month-end close process.
• Strong experience working with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations.
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Experience with Cin7 or similar inventory management systems.
• Experience reconciling Shopify sales.
• Experience working with U.S.-based consumer brands.
• Experience with multiple sales channels, including DTC, retail, and e-commerce.

• Experience using AI tools to support written communication and day-to-day work.
• Previous experience working in a fast-growing consumer brand environment.
